Binny Bansal-backed RISA Labs raises $11.1 million

RISA Labs, a US-based startup building an AI operating system for cancer care, has raised $11.1 million in a funding round co-led by Cencora Ventures and Optum Ventures. The round also saw participation from Oncology Ventures, Z21 Ventures and John Simon, cofounder of General Catalyst, through his Ventureforgood entity.

The startup said it will use the funds to expand the rollout of its AI platform across cancer clinics, health systems, specialty pharmacies and infusion networks in the US, with the aim of speeding up access to cancer treatment.

RISA’s platform connects directly with hospital electronic medical records, insurance and benefits systems, and other tools used by cancer centres. Its AI agents automate tasks such as benefits verification and prior authorisation, replacing largely manual processes that often slow down treatment decisions.

RISA Labs had earlier raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round led by Flipkart cofounder Binny Bansal in April 2025.

Founded by IIT Kanpur alumni Kshitij Jaggi and Kumar Shivang, who earlier built healthcare startup Urban Health, RISA offers a workflow orchestration platform called BOSS (Business Operating System as a Service).

“In our vision for oncology, there are two sides to every patient’s journey: getting them on the right therapy faster, and deepening our understanding of the disease for the next patient through data,” said Jaggi, CEO of RISA Labs.
