PM Modi congratulates Skyroot after private rocket reaches orbit: ‘You have planted new seeds in the sky’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Skyroot Aerospace cofounder and CEO Pawan Kumar Chandana and his team after the company’s rocket successfully reached orbit, calling the achievement a moment of pride for India and a boost for the country’s youth.

In a phone conversation following the launch, Modi told Chandana and the Skyroot team that they had “planted new seeds in the sky” and given strength to young Indians to dream bigger in technology and space.

“You have worked hard with commitment… you have worked and shown,” the PM said. He said the success would inspire young people across the country to trust their abilities, work hard and deliver results.

Chandana thanked the PM for his encouragement and said Skyroot’s rocket had carried a card sent by Modi into space, with the words “Vande Mataram” written on it.

“Vande Mataram is in orbit,” Chandana told the PM.
