Consumer appliances brand Atomberg’s cofounders are stepping into new roles, with Manoj Meena becoming chairman and managing director, and Shibam Das taking over as chief executive officer (CEO), according to a LinkedIn post by Meena on Tuesday. Meena was the CEO earlier, and Das the COO. Additionally, Meena will also be the CEO of Atomberg Innovation, a subsidiary.
According to the post, Das will lead the consumer business, including fans, water purifiers, and kitchen and home appliances. Meena will focus on innovation and long-term strategy at Atomberg. Both founders are from IIT Bombay.
Atomberg initially manufactured fans, but the company has since expanded into new categories, including mixer-grinders, smart locks, water purifiers and kitchen appliances.
Last December, the company said it would go for an IPO (initial public offer) of $200 million this year.
