India’s overall exports hit all-time high of $863 billion in FY26

New Delhi: India’s services exports at $421.32 billion in FY26, were higher than the estimated $418.31 billion, taking the country’s overall goods and services exports to an all-time high of $863.11 billion in the last fiscal, an official said Wednesday.

Services exports rose 8.71% on-year in 2025-26 from $387.55 billion in the previous fiscal.

The country’s overall exports rose 4.59% on-year from $825.26 billion in 2024-25.

“This marks the highest level of overall exports so far, sustained by steady performance across sectors despite ongoing global challenges. Moreover, the highest ever total exports were recorded in each quarter of 2025-26,” said an official.


This rise in services exports underscores the expanding global demand for services such as IT, business solutions, and professional expertise, according to the official.

Merchandise exports grew 0.93% to $441.78 billion in the last fiscal year from $437.70 billion in FY25.Also Read: India sees no need to curb sugar exports for now as demand weakens, sources say

“Despite global uncertainties and challenges in goods trade, India’s merchandise exports maintained its upward trajectory, contributing significantly to the total export basket,” an official said, adding that each quarter in the last fiscal recorded its peak export performance.

The overall exports growth highlights a structural shift toward a more service-driven export economy while maintaining stability in goods trade, the official said.
