At the ICAR–Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (CISH) in Lucknow, a modern technique for rejuvenating old mango orchards was demonstrated. The method uses a pruning machine to trim and reduce the size of large, aging mango trees. This process helps restore productivity, improves fruit quality, and enhances overall yield. Officials said the technique also lowers maintenance costs for farmers, making it a practical solution for reviving unproductive orchards and improving long-term horticultural output.
