WASHINGTON: The White House on Monday said a China spy balloon‘s overflight of the United States has done nothing to improve already tense US relations with Beijing.
John Kirby, the White House national security spokesperson, told reporters that when the time is right U.S. officials will decide when Secretary of State Antony Blinken should reschedule a trip to Beijing that he canceled due to the balloon.
“Nobody wants to see conflict here,” Kirby said.
