Prince Harry has become “an angry boy” as he reportedly struggles to adjust to life in the United States, where he and his wife Meghan Markle have resided for over four years since 2020, reports The Sunday Times citing his close friend. The Duke of Sussex “desperately misses” Britain, claims his close friends.
“He’s an angry boy. Things haven’t turned out how he wanted.I think he misses being over here (in Britain) desperately and wants to be admired more. Anyone who knows him feels he’d rather be top of the pops here with everyone loving him, as they do with (Price) William and Kate,” said one of Harry’s close friends to The Sunday Times.
Since their relocation to the US, Harry and Meghan have only returned to the UK on a few occasions..
The couple has been involved in various projects, including a six-part Netflix documentary, a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey, and the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare.
A friend of the couple suggested that they could have left the Royal Family with “dignity and decency and not trashed the institution,” adding, “The conclusion is they’ve made money from trashing his family.”
Another close friend of Harry said that many cannot forgive him for his decision to publicly discuss family matters. “I can’t believe he’d stoop so low. It’s outrageously disloyal. Oprah, Netflix and then the book? Three strikes and you’re out,” the friend said.
Former advisers and long-time acquaintances have observed that Harry seems to be at a crossroads, saying “All he does is spend time looking back. If only he could wrench his neck around and look forward.”
A person who has known Harry since his teenage years pointed out that he has “ended up isolated from his family and most of his old mates” and is now in an environment “where your friendships are not like the ones you forged as a young man.”
