Prince William wishes brother Harry on his 40th birthday



Britain’s Prince William on Sunday wished his younger brother Harry, as he celebrated his 40th birthday. “Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex!”, read a post on William and wife Catherine’s official X account, referring to Harry‘s royal title.

British media outlets said that this was the first public birthday message for Harry from the royal family account since 2021.
The relationship between Harry and his family has been increasingly strained since he and his wife Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal duties and relocated to California in 2020.
According to reports in the British media, William and Harry, who has a strong bond following the tragic loss of their mother Princess Diana in 1997, have not talked with each other in the past two years.
William and Harry were seen together at the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022. However, they have maintained distance at other events, including their father’s coronation in May 2023.
Harry, a father of two young children, on Friday said that he was “excited about 40″expressed his enthusiasm for turning 40.
“I was anxious about 30, I’m excited about 40,” he shared with the BBC, emphasizing that fatherhood has given him a new outlook on life.
“Being a dad is one of life’s greatest joys and has only made me more driven and more committed to making this world a better place,” Harry added.
In his autobiography “Spare,” released in January 2023, Harry referred to William as his “beloved brother” but also his “arch-nemesis.” According to royal experts, a reconciliation between the brothers is not expected in the near future.
