Melania Trump is King Charles' pen-pal? They first met in 2005


King Charles has an unlikely pen friend in former first lady Melania Trump as revealed by her in the memoir. Melania has an ongoing correspondence with the King, according to a review of her memoir in the New York Times. They first met in New York in 2005 when King Charles was the Prince of Wales. They reunited in 2019 when Melania made a state visit to the UK with Donald Trump who was the president at that time.Melania wrote that it was an “absolute pleasure to reconnect” with Charles.
“This time we engaged in an interesting conversation about his deep-rooted commitment to environmental conservation,” Melania added.
Donald Trump received a private letter from the monarch after the first assassination attempt was made in July in Pennsylvania, during an election rally.
There have been conflicting reports on how late Queen Elizabeth II felt about Donald Trump. While Royal author Craig Brown in his book claimed that the Queen found Donald Trump very rude, Trump said he has a great relationship with her. Trump called Craig Brown a sleazebag for writing this: “She (Queen) particularly disliked the way he (Trump) couldn’t stop looking over her shoulder, as though in search of others more interesting,”
Melania’s memoir has grabbed a lot of attention as it is being published weeks ahead of the election which may send her back to the White House once again. Taking a different stance on abortion that her husband and the Republican party, Melania said she is pro-choice and believes it is “imperative” that women can choose whether to have an abortion.
Melania touched upon various issues starting from her childhood in Slovenia to Donald Trump, Barron Trump but did not write anything about Donald Trump’s involvement with Stormy Daniels or the Capitol riots of 2021.
