'Dictator' Meghan Markle allegedly 'terrifies' staff, reducing some to tears, report claims

A recent report by The Hollywood Reporter has painted a rather grim picture of Meghan Markle’s leadership style, labelling her as a ‘dictator’ who instills fear in her staff. According to the publication, sources close to the Duchess of Sussex claim that she has intimidated employees to the point of reducing grown men to tears. One insider, in particular, described her as a “dictator in high heels” who belittles those around her.
The report delves into Markle’s management style, alleging that she belittles employees and does not take advice. Hollywood Reporter sources claim she often changes her mind and displays erratic decision-making, creating a challenging environment for those around her. Prince Harry, described as charming and personable, is said to enable her behaviour, making the situation worse, the report claimed. The high turnover rate among their staff has become a notable feature of the couple’s household, with several high-ranking aides leaving after short stints.

Most recently, Josh Kettler, their chief of staff, resigned after just three months. He joins a growing list of former staffers in what has been dubbed the “Sussex Survivors Club.” Among the other notable exits are Toya Holness, their former global press secretary, and Samantha Cohen, who served as Markle’s private secretary. This high turnover has sparked speculation about the demanding and allegedly toxic work environment under Markle’s leadership.
These recent allegations echo earlier claims of bullying against Markle during her time in the royal family. In 2018, Buckingham Palace launched an investigation into complaints from two royal aides, but the findings were never made public. Markle dismissed the accusations, calling them a “calculated smear campaign.” However, the negative perceptions of her working style have persisted, with many former staffers also criticising her tendency to send angry emails in the early hours of the morning.

In response to the growing criticism, Markle has expressed regret over how some of her public statements have been received. According to Fox News, she and Prince Harry regret how the “royal racist controversy” unfolded during their Oprah Winfrey interview. Markle had intended for the discussion to focus on mental health, but it became overshadowed by the more controversial aspects of their conversation.
Despite the ongoing controversies, Markle has shifted her focus to building her business empire in California, distancing herself from the royal family.
