HYDERABAD: The grieving family of civil engineer Aishwarya Thatikonda performed the funeral of the 27-year-old at Nagole in Telangana’s Medchal district on Thursday.
The mortal remains of Aishwarya, who was killed in a mass shooting incident at Allen Mall near Dallas, Texas in the US on May 6, arrived in Hyderabad on May 10 evening.
A large number of people, family, friends, relatives and residents of HUDA colony at Saroornagar visited the family of Aishwarya Thatikonda and conveyed their condolences to them.
Aishwarya’s father T Narsi Reddy — who hails from Suryapet — is a judge in the Ranga Reddy district court.
Early on Thursday, energy minister G Jagdeesh Reddy and MLAs Gadari Kishore and Shanampudi Saidi Reddy visited the family and expressed their condolences.
The body of Aishwarya Thatikonda was taken to the Nagole cremation grounds where her last rites were performed.
