He added that given Vice President Harris’s deep connection to the South Asian community; there will be a significant presence of prominent Indian American Democrats in Chicago next week at the DNC.
“The support from the Indian American community is both impactful and deeply meaningful, especially given Vice President Harris’s Indian heritage. Her candidacy is a source of immense pride for South Asians, and this pride translates into strong financial and grassroots support. The community’s commitment to her campaign is crucial in driving our fundraising efforts and amplifying our message. Harris’s leadership resonates with our values, and her success reflects the collective strength of our community,” Bhutoria, who is a prominent Democratic fund raiser said.
He added that several Indian Americans are playing a vital role in supporting Vice President Harris. “A large number of community leaders are actively involved in the campaign. Their leadership exemplifies the pride and commitment of the South Asian community. Their participation, along with the broader community’s support, underscores the significance of Vice President Harris’s candidacy as a historic milestone for us all,” Bhutoria added.
Around 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the DNC, including 5000 Democratic delegates. The speeches by Harris and her running mate Governor Tim Walz are the highlights of the convention. “It’s a privilege to witness the unity and enthusiasm of the party, particularly as we celebrate the achievements of Vice President Harris. The ‘DemPalooz’ events and sessions will give us the opportunity to engage in vital strategic discussions and connect with fellow Democrats,” Bhutoria said.
