NEW DELHI: In a tragic incident, a 25-year-old Indian MBA graduate fell victim to a brutal attack by a homeless drug addict in Lithonia city, Georgia. The killer, identified as Julian Faulkner, attacked Vivek Saini, who had extended kindness to him over the past couple of days.
The horrifying event was captured on camera, revealing Faulkner mercilessly striking Saini approximately 50 times on the head with a hammer. Saini, employed part-time at a store where Faulkner sought shelter, had shown generosity by providing the accused with chips, a coke, water, and even a jacket for warmth.
Despite Saini’s benevolence, the situation took a dark turn on January 16 when he, concerned for his safety, requested Faulkner to leave or face police intervention. Tragically, this plea resulted in the fatal attack.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police found Faulkner standing over Saini’s lifeless body. The young student, who had migrated to the US two years ago after completing his B Tech, had recently achieved a Master’s in Business Administration.
Saini’s family in Haryana is grieving the loss of their promising son, remembering him as a brilliant student aspiring for a decent job. His parents, Gurjeet Singh and Lalita Saini, are currently devastated and unable to discuss the details of this tragic incident.
