India has begun work on an action plan to facilitate investment in the country’s startup sector that is likely to include scaling up of the seven-year-old Startup India initiative.As part of the plan, under discussion, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is also looking at developing indicators such as investments, number of startups in a sector and employment generation to track performance of startups.“The plan
