Indian video-sharing social media service Roposo Tuesday announced its launch in Indonesia. Owned by InMobi subsidiary Glance, Roposo has over 80 million active users in India.

The platform said it expects to expand presence to other markets now, including the US, Brazil and Japan, in the coming quarters.

In Indonesia, Roposo has been piloting more than 40 live streams daily on Glance over the past five months, with an average daily live show viewership of approximately one million, and nearly two million hours of Roposo content being watched monthly.

Over 200 creators have already joined Roposo and the platform is planning to partner with at least 1,000 more in the next three to four quarters.

“To give consumers the best trending live content out there, we are partnering with some of the most exceptional creators in the country,” Mansi Jain, senior vice president and general manager, Roposo, told ET. “Our tech and features bridge the creator-audience gap and enable deep engagement, making the experience of LIVE feel like real life.”

For creators, Roposo provides a safe environment to stand out, build their brand, gain recognition and start monetising immediately. Additionally, Roposo offers mentorship and grooming for creators—starting from how to present themselves to data-driven insights on best performing content, audience preferences, etc.

Headquartered in Singapore, Glance is an unconsolidated subsidiary of InMobi Group and is funded by Jio Platforms, Google, and Mithril Capital.

Roposo provides a space where users can share posts related to different topics like food, comedy, music, poetry, fashion, and travel. It is a platform where people express themselves visually with homemade videos and photos.

The platform has forayed into the Indonesian content ecosystem through live experiences for consumers, creators, brands and advertisers. Roposo will power LIVE on Glance—a smart lock screen platform that has over 30 million active users in Indonesia. It will also be available as an app on Android Play Store and the Apple App Store.
