The government-backed ecommerce platform Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is expanding spiritual services on its network with Vama.app that will offer services such as virtual pujas, temple darshans and rituals, and astrology services.

Spiritual services providers Iskcon and Hari Bol are already available on ONDC.

Wavemaker Partners-backed Vama.app, which is onboarding ONDC as both a buyer and seller platform, plans to broaden its reach by offering its services to a wider audience through the network.

According to cofounder Manu Jain, the New Delhi-based startup currently has 400,000 monthly users. He hopes to double this with ONDC.

“ONDC has a reach across 3,000 odd apps where Vama’s services can be sold,” Jain told ET in an interaction. “The roll out is in a phased manner… We will go live with a few apps first and then move on to other apps,” he said.

Founded in 2020, Vama.app has partnered with over 250 temples and has a network of more than 300 astrologers on the platform.
