In his new role, he will collaborate with founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma to scale Paytm’s growth while focusing on profitability.
Shakdher left Ola Mobility after a nine-month tenure, during which he led the core mobility business to profitability, launched a consumer loans division and the ONDC food delivery service, and introduced the Ola Loyalty program, Ola Coin.
As CBO at Ola, Shakdher was responsible for overseeing growth, revenue, category operations, and marketing across India and international markets. He also spearheaded new business ventures, including e-commerce, financial services, and AI cloud services, with global teams reporting directly to him.
Before joining Ola, Shakdher was EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at Disney+ Hotstar, where he was part of the founding leadership team. He led the platform’s marketing efforts, international expansion, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) strategy.
Prior to Disney+ Hotstar, Shakdher worked at Amazon in Seattle, overseeing marketing and growth for its U.S. third-party marketplace. He also served as Category Marketing Head at Reckitt Benckiser, playing a key role in launching and establishing Dettol in the U.S. personal care market.
