Negi was appointed as its chief financial officer in 2022 and was also serving as the interim CEO after its then top executive Suhail Sameer stepped down in January 2023.
As the CEO, Negi, who is known to be close to BharatPe chairman Rajnish Kumar, will lead the company into its next phase of development, driving innovation to empower merchants across the country.

Prior to joining BharatPe, Negi held several senior leadership positions at financial service organisations including SBI Card and GE Capital.
BharatPe reported an operating revenue of Rs 904 crore for 2022-23, up 182% year-on-year, and its losses stood at Rs 886 crore, down from Rs 5,594 crore in 2021-22.
