Pais will be replacing Kunal Gupta who is now leading Minutes, the Walmart-backed company’s quick commerce arm, after Kabeer Biswas stepped down. ET had reported on Biswas’ exit last month.
Responding to ET’s queries, Flipkart has confirmed the development.
Before joining Myntra as CBO in 2021, Pais was with Flipkart for almost eight years in various roles. In January 2014, she started as sales and revenue lead for books and then took up the role of category marketing for books, general merchandise and home.
Pais moved to Myntra in October 2021 while heading Flipkart’s loyalty and travel division.
The development comes amid multiple internal movements in both Flipkart and Myntra.
Flipkart, which is under pressure to focus harder on profitability as it gears up for an initial public offering (IPO) in 2026, saw most of its group entities narrow losses in 2024-25 by cutting back on expenses, although revenue growth was muted amid a slowdown in overall online retail.
Meanwhile, Myntra, the Flipkart-owned fashion and beauty etailer, saw its profit jump almost 18-fold during 2024-25.
