“Leveraging Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, LimeChat has introduced its enhanced chat automation tailored for ecommerce. The chatbot’s dynamic learning refines engagement with every interaction,” it said.
Founded in 2020, the startup has raised a total funding of $5 million over three rounds, from eight institutional investors including Stellaris Venture Partners, pi Ventures and Titan Capital, as per Tracxn.
Its angel investors include Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Udaan cofounder Sujeet Kumar, Livspace cofounder Ramakant Sharma and Deutsche Bank MD Dilip Khandelwal.
The company enables commerce by integrating with platforms like Whatsapp and Shopify. It has worked with over 300 brands including HUL, ITC, Mamaearth, Wow Skin Science, Neemans Shoes, and Snitch.

The company hit $2.8 million in revenue, according to the LATKA SaaS Database.Limechat founder Nikhil Gupta said, “Partnering with Microsoft elevates customer support standards. By harnessing Microsoft Azure’s retrieval algorithms, embedding models, and LLMs (large language models), we’re transforming customer interactions significantly.”
The startup said that early adopters of the technology such as Wow Skin Science saw tangible improvements and a positive response from end users, with the new system increasing automation rates increasing by nearly 15% and indicating promising customer satisfaction scores.
