At Delhivery, Gazipur will be in charge of “capacity building and operational excellence across the company’s last-mile pickup and delivery operations,” the firm said in a statement.

In May, Delhivery’s long standing executive director and chief business officer Sandeep Barasia resigned after over nine years at the helm. Barasia was among key senior executives alongside Barua who helped take the logistics firm public. He was also on the Delhivery board.

In the fourth quarter of FY24, Delhivery narrowed its losses to Rs 69 crore, from Rs 159 crore a year ago. Revenue from operations rose 12% on year to Rs 2,076 crore in the January-March 2024 period, compared with Rs 1,860 crore a year ago.

Meanwhile, Ecom Express is looking to raise Rs 1,424 crore (about $170 million) through a rights issue that is likely to be led by its existing investors Warburg Pincus, British International Investment (BII), and Switzerland-based Partners Group, ET reported on June 25.
