The launch of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) has benefitted many farmers as it provides financial assistance to all landholding farmer families in the nation who have cultivable land.

Every four months, from April to July, August to November, and December to March of each fiscal year, the money is transferred in three equal installments of Rs 2000 each.

This program uses the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to send a financial reward of Rs. 6000 into the bank accounts of farming households across the nation.

How to edit name as per Aadhaar in PM Kisan
Here are simple steps to follow to edit name as per Aadhaar, according to the DBT Agriculture Bihar website.

Step 1: In order to change the Beneficiary Name as per Aadhaar, the farmer must enter their PM KISAN Aadhaar number in the “Change Beneficiary Name as per Aadhaar” area found in the “Farmers Corner” part on the PM KISAN portal’s home page.
Step 2: The submitted Aadhaar number will be verified by the application against the database. If the Aadhar number is already in use, the application will ask the user to confirm (Yes/No) whether they want to edit the name.
If the Aadhaar number is not in the database, a message stating that will be displayed “The database does not contain the entered Aadhaar number. For more information, please get in touch with the district/village level officer.”
Step 3: . If the farmer clicks on “yes”, the below mentioned farmer details will be displayed:

  • Registration Number
  • Farmer Name
  • Mobile Number
  • Sub-district
  • Village
  • Aadhaar Number

Step 4: By clicking the e-KYC link, the farmer can complete e-KYC. The farmer will be directed to finish the e-KYC procedure after clicking the link, and the PM KISAN database will be updated with the information retrieved from Aadhaar in relation to the farmer. The database will be updated with demographic information like Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number as Per Aadhar, and Father’s/Name. Husband’s
Step 5: The status of Aadhaar seeding will be checked through NPCI following the successful completion of e-KYC. Records will be forwarded for additional processing in accordance with the if Aadhaar is seeded with a bank account. If the Aadhaar seeding status is “No,” a notification about seeding the Aadhaar number with a bank account will be presented.
