In one of the announcements on the social media X, SBI posts, “Dear customers, We have undertaken technology upgradation, due to which you may face intermittent fluctuations in Bank’s UPI services. We deeply regret the inconvenience which may be causing to you. We will update soon.”
According to the SBI reply on X to one of the customers who was facing an issue since 3 days, “We regret the inconvenience caused to you. Our UPI services are facing intermittent fluctuations due to technology upgradation activities. Please retry and revert us for any further assistance.”

UPI (Unified Payment Interface) is an instant payment system which allows you to instantly transfer money to any bank account. BHIM UPI section is available under YONO Pay.
How to register on BHIM UPI on YONO
IT can be done using your bank registered mobile number and link your account. Once registered, you can use BHIM UPI for –
1. Pay to a UPI Id (VPA)
2. Pay to a bank account
3. Pay to a contact
4. Request money
5. Approve or reject Collect Request
5. Scan and Pay via QR Code
You can also manage your BHIM UPI profile on YONO. You can –
1. Create or Delete UPI Id
2. Add or Delete bank accounts linked to UPI Id
3. Set or Change or Reset UPI PIN for the bank accounts
4. View UPI transaction history.

“BHIM SBI Pay” (UPI App of SBI) is a payment solution that allows account holders of all Banks participating in UPI to send money, receive money and do online bill payments, recharges, shopping, etc. using their smartphones.
How can I change my Default A/c?
Login to BHIM SBI Pay App
Select option My Accounts in main menu.
Select Account from linked accounts available.
Click Set ‘As Default Account’ button to set the selected account as default account. This account will be termed as “Primary Account”
Can I use another UPI app simultaneously in my phone? Will I be required to register again or I can carry the same virtual address?
Yes, you can use multiple UPI apps in single mobile phone.
For using different UPI apps, you need to download these apps and complete registration process of the respective apps.
You can also use the same “name” in all VPAs, but the handle (name@handle) will always be different for all apps. (Ex: name@sbi, name@upi, name@hdfc, etc)
