Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present his third-term vision to a full house at The Economic Times World Leaders Forum (WLF) on August 31, where he will be joined by an outstanding group of thought leaders. With India’s international stature growing, ET has launched the premier platform for an exchange of ideas on both global as well as regional challenges shaping our turbulent world.

Global CEOs, ministers and startup founders will address the world’s most pressing issues – worldwide turmoil, the climate crisis, demographic shifts, economic instability and the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) – under the theme of Leadership for Global Prosperity.

Ministers S Jaishankar (external affairs), Ashwini Vaishnaw (railways, information & broadcasting, electronics & information technology) and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (tourism) will share insights on how their respective ministries are contributing to India’s ongoing transformation.

WLF will also feature a group of global CEOs who will share experiences and expertise throughout the day.

Rich Lesser, chairman of BCG, and Mohamed Kande, chairman of PwC, will address global economic trends and how India can compete in the world economy.

Global AI experts GitHub chief executive Thomas Dohmke, Publicis Sapient CEO Nigel Vaz and Microsoft Asia chief Ahmed Mazari will discuss its ramifications, including industry shifts and possibilities. Marc-Andre Blanchard, head of CDPQ Global, and OneIM’s Rajeev Misra will discuss high finance and the latest investing trends.

Discussions on Shaping the Future at WLF
Kelly Mahon Tullier, vice-chair and chief people and corporate affairs officer of Visa, will provide understanding of the latest payment sector trends, emerging financial innovations and diversity issues.

A highly anticipated session will be that of Balaji Srinivasan, the acclaimed tech maven, entrepreneur and author, who will delve into entrepreneurship, startups and disruptive technology. Renowned economist Nouriel Roubini, who predicted the 2008 global financial crisis, will provide expert analysis and insights into deciphering complex economic signals.

Together, they’ll navigate the key economic and technological trends shaping the future. Entrepreneurs Maria Katris, chief executive of Built In from Illinois, and ZaloPay chief Le Lan Chi of Ho Chi Minh City will also share their wisdom and inspiring stories.

Nikhil Goel, chief commercial officer of Archer Aviation, will discuss disrupting the concept of urban travel with air taxis, an unexplored frontier. Coming from Bangkok will be Omri Morgenshtern, chief executive of Agoda, who will explore how world-class startups can be launched in Asia. And last but not least, we’ll also feature a host of top Indian CEOs-more about that later.
