The first RBI MPC meeting of FY27 will be held on April 6, 7 and 8, 2026 with the final briefing to be held on April 8, Wednesday. The meeting is scheduled at a time when the world is facing large-scale disruptions amid the US-Israel war with Iran. The conflict, involving numerous Gulf countries, has resulted in global tensions as countries face risks of oil and gas shortage, inflation, and economic unpredicability.
The April MPC meeting will be followed by the second meeting on June 3, 4, and 5, 2026. The third meeting is set for August 3, 4, and 5, 2026, while the fourth will take place on October 5, 6, and 7, 2026.
The fifth meeting is scheduled for December 2, 3, and 4, 2026, and the final meeting of the cycle will be held on February 3, 4, and 5, 2027.
In its latest bulletin released on Monday, the central bank noted that the conflict in the Middle East and fresh trade investigations by the US have resulted in increased volatility in the global markets.
