The book India@100 Resurgent Bharat: Road Map for 2047 was launched in New Delhi on Tuesday, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, and social thinkers to deliberate on India’s pathway to becoming a developed nation by 2047.

The publication centres on the vision and leadership of its principal author, Sita Ram Gupta, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) veteran and formerly the Executive Director of Lupin Foundation, whose framework outlines a comprehensive roadmap spanning economic growth, agriculture, governance reforms, sustainability, and inclusive development.

The event was attended by former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu and agricultural economist Ashok Gulati.

Gulati, who attended as the Guest of Honour, said that the strategies outlined in the book would prove particularly useful for the agriculture and rural development sectors.

Co-authored by another CSR thought leader Rusen Kumar, the book adopts a structured, solution-oriented approach, with Gupta’s strategic perspective forming its core. It emphasises collaboration between government, industry, and civil society to achieve the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.

Addressing the gathering, Gupta highlighted the need for collective national commitment, backed by innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive participation, noting that the roadmap is intended as a guiding framework for policymakers and stakeholders across sectors.
