NEW DELHI: The India growth story is here, now and real, Times Group MD Vineet Jain said on Thursday. He was speaking in the context of India’s gross domestic product (GDP), which grew by 7.2 per cent in FY 2022-23.

“It is not often that a nation’s growth is acclaimed across the world. We bear witness to an ‘Amrit Kaal’ that promises to reap India’s great demographic dividend and bring widespread prosperity to Indians. It is not a bullish expectation any more. Just yesterday, India’s GDP beat all expectations and forecast to clock 7.2 per cent – higher than any economy in the world. The India growth story is here, now and real,” Vineet Jain said at the inaugural ceremony of the 2-day Times Network India Economic Conclave.

India’s economy grew by 6.1 per cent in March quarter of 2022-23, pushing the annual growth rate to 7.2 per cent on account of better performance by agriculture, manufacturing, mining and construction sectors.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Times Group MD said, “As we surge ahead under the stewardship of PM Modi‘s strong and bold government, it has unlocked opportunities like never before for Indian entrepreneurs”.
