Stock market rallies after US elections with Sensex rising over 1000 points, Nifty over 300 points

The Sensex rose to 80,489.70, which is up 1,013.07 points or 1.27%, while the Nifty rose to 24,514.35, which is 301.05 points or 1.24% up

The Indian stock market rallied after the US elections, with the benchmark BSE Sensex rising over 400 points, and the NSE Nifty going over 100 points.

At 2:35 pm IST, the Sensex rose to 80,489.70, which is up 1,013.07 points or 1.27% from the previous day’s close, while the Nifty rose to 24,514.35 at the same time, which is 301.05 points or 1.24% up from the previous close.

The Sensex closed yesterday at 79,476.63, which was up by 694.39 points or 0.88%, while the Nifty reached 24,213.30, which was up by 217.95 points or 0.91%.

TCS, Infosys, and HCL Tech rose the most among Sensex companies at 4.24 %, 4.04 %, and 3.95 % into the green respectively.

The Nifty IT, Oil & Gas, and Realty sectoral indices rose the most at 3.9%, 2.63%, and 2.56% respectively.
