Petrol and diesel rates remained largely stagnant on Thursday. Fuel prices have stayed stable over the past year since the last rate revision in May 2022. Different states implement different rates as per the local taxes, value-added tax (VAT) and freight charges, etc.
After the 6 am price notification issued by oil marketing companies daily, petrol and diesel costs remained the same as Wednesday in cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai as per Goodreturns. In the Bengal capital, petrol and diesel prices stood at ₹106.03 and ₹92.76 per litre, respectively. In Tamil Nadu’s capital, petrol can be bought for ₹102.63 per litre, while diesel retails at ₹94.24 per litre.
In Noida, however, petrol and diesel became costlier by 27 paise. Similarly, petrol and diesel have become costlier by 24 paise and 22 paise in Patna. On the other hand, there is a drop of 40 paise in the price of petrol and 36 paise in the cost of diesel in Jaipur.
