Delhi gets first barrier-free highway; 'Multi Lane Free Flowing' tolling system explained - The Economic Times Video


India has taken another step toward fully automated highway infrastructure with the rollout of the Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) barrier-less tolling system in Delhi. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari launched the new system at the Mundka–Bakkarwala toll plaza on UER-II. The technology enables automatic toll deduction using FASTags and ANPR cameras without requiring vehicles to stop at toll booths. However, experts have also flagged concerns over billing accuracy, FASTag compliance, and technical implementation challenges.
