“The import of Glufosinate and its salts… shall be restricted where the combined amount of the CIF (cost, insurance, freight) value and applicable anti-dumping duty, calculated on a per kilogram basis, is less than Rs 1,154,” the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification.
The imports of some of the product categories will be subject to a certificate of registration by the government and would be reviewed after a year.
India imported $1.65 billion worth of fungicides, insecticides, herbicides and rodenticides in FY25 with around $655 million coming from China.
