As we approach December, there are various financial deadlines that should be kept in mind at the end of the calendar year. Free Aadhaar update deadline: December 14

Aadhaar cardholders can update their details for free online through the myAadhaar portal until December 14, 2024. After this date, offline updates at Aadhaar centres will incur a fee.
What is the charge for document submission?
Submitting documents at an Aadhaar Centre costs Rs. 50, while submission through the myAadhaar portal is free.

IDBI Bank special FD deadline: December 31, 2024

The last date to invest in Utsav FDs for special deposit tenures of 300 days, 375 days, 444 days and 700 days is December 31, 2024.

For the general public, the interest rates are 7.05%, 7.25%, 7.35%, and 7.20% for 300 days, 375 days, 444 days and 700 days tenures respectively. The interest rates offered on these FDs are 7.55%, 7.75%, 7.85%, and 7.70%, respectively, for the abovementioned tenures, on these FDs for senior citizens.

Punjab & Sind Bank special FD deadline: December 31, 2024
Punjab& Sind Bank offers various special fixed deposits with different tenures. The deadline for these deposits is December 31, 2024, according to the bank’s website.

The special FD with a duration of 222 days offers a high interest rate of 6.30%. The bank provides an interest rate of 7.20% on special deposits with a duration of 333 days. On a tenure of 444 days, the bank offers 7.30% interest for general citizens. For 555 days (Callable) deposit, the bank offers an interest rate of 7.45%. On a special deposit of 777 Days, the bank offers an interest rate of 7.25% and for 999 Days (Callable) deposits the bank offers an interest rate of 6.65%.

AU Small Finance Bank credit card changes: December 22, 2024
AU Small Finance Bank has revised its reward point usage for Ixigo AU credit card with effect from December 22, 2024.

Discontinuation of reward points on specific categories
Ixigo AU credit cardholders will not earn reward points on educational, government, rent and BBPS transactions starting December 22, 2024.

Discontinuation of reward points on international spends
The bank introduced a 0% forex markup on Ixigo AU credit card effective December 23 and it is withdrawing reward points on international transactions to facilitate the same.

Axis Bank has made several changes to the general terms and conditions of most of its credit cards.

Revision in fee and charges for AIRTEL Axis Bank Credit Card

1. Finance/Interest Charges:
Finance/Interest charges will be levied at a revised interest rate of 3.75% per month, from the current rate of 3.6% per month.

2. Cheque Return or Dishonour Fee or Auto Debit Reversal:
The minimum fees charged for cheque return or dishonour fee or auto debit reversal will be revised to Rs. 500 from the current Rs. 450. The cap of the maximum fees of Rs. 1,500 will be removed.

3. Fees for cash payment:
The fees for cash payment at bank branches will be revised to Rs. 175 from Rs. 100.

Belated Income tax deadline

If you did not file your ITR for the previous year by the due date, you can submit a belated return on or before December 31st of the relevant assessment year. For example, for the fiscal year 2024-25, the deadline for filing a belated return is December 31, 2024.
