Experts warn Prince Harry’s memoir re-release could reignite royal feud

The upcoming paperback release of Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, has raised concerns among royal experts who fear it could reignite the long-standing tensions between Harry and the royal family, according to media reports. The controversial book, originally released in hardback, is set to return to bookstores worldwide at the end of October.
The paperback edition will be released in the UK on October 24, coinciding with King Charles’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa.Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, described the timing as “unfortunate” and warned that it could reopen old wounds. “Harry probably had no idea that his father would be there,” Seward said, according to a GB News report. “It will dredge everything up again,” she added.
Seward points out the unusual choice
Seward pointed out the unusual choice to release the paperback without any new content, suggesting that its lower price may attract more readers. She also said that Harry could have added updates but chose not to. Seward also believes that King Charles will be too preoccupied with the summit to focus on any potential backlash.
Experts predict renewed family tensions
Royal commentator Phil Dampier supported Seward’s concerns, criticising the timing of the release. He dismissed the idea that it might be seen as a peace gesture from Harry. “It’s coming out at a very difficult time, when the King is struggling with cancer and in the middle of an important Commonwealth meeting,” Dampier said, according to a GB News report.
