Nostradamus' eerie 2024 prediction for King Charles sparks buzz amid cancer diagnosis

NEW DELHI: After Britain’s King Charles got diagnosed with cancer, predictions by 16th century astrologer Nostradamus have resurfaced in which he purportedly foretold the “downfall” of the monarch in 2024.
In his 1555 book ‘Les Propheties’, the French astrologer wrote that drama could be on the cards for the royal family in 2024, predicting that the King may be “driven out by force”.
“King of the Isles driven out by force … replaced by one who will have no mark of a king”, the book reads.
Analyst Mario Reading interprets the passage as: “Because they disapproved of his divorce, a man who later they considered unworthy; The People will force out the King of the islands; A man will replace who never expected to be king.”
Nostradamus, however, predicted that King Charles may renounce the throne with Prince Harry possibly taking it up.
In a series of predictions about the royal family, Nostradamus foresaw the death of Queen Elizabeth II, guessing her age correctly.
“Queen Elizabeth II will die, circa 22, at the age of around 96,” it read, according to analyst Mario Reading.
Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that King Charles III, who ascended to the British throne following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022, has been diagnosed with cancer.
The specifics of the cancer type and its stage remain undisclosed, adding a layer of concern and speculation.
