Jupiter, a neobanking startup, has appointed Anuj Rathi, who was previously heading revenue and growth at Swiggy, as its first ever chief product and marketing officer, the company said in a statement.

Rathi recently announced his departure from Swiggy.

At Jupiter, Rathi will lead product, design, growth and marketing. He will work closely with Jupiter’s founder and CEO Jitendra Gupta.

Rathi was one of the senior-most product leaders in the firm, having joined it in 2016 as vice president (VP), revenue and growth. Prior to joining Swiggy in 2016, the IIT- Kanpur graduate had worked with Flipkart, Snapdeal and Walmart, in product management, omnichannel commerce, revenue and growth.

On Rathi’s appointment, Gupta said, “We felt that Anuj is the most suited leader to play an important role for Jupiter’s next phase of growth. I am personally very excited to welcome him to Jupiter Money.”
