MOSCOW: Russian investigators on Wednesday said they launched a criminal probe after award-winning journalist Elena Milashina was badly beaten in Chechnya.
The Investigative Committee, which probes serious crimes, said it opened a criminal probe into intentional infliction of “moderate” bodily harm and “light” bodily harm after Milashina and lawyer Alexander Nemov were attacked.
