How to know Cheque book status
Step 1: Call 18001234 or 18002100 from your registered mobile number
Step 2: Press 2 for ‘To track ATM card and Press 5 ‘ To track your Cheque book’
Step 3: Last 4 digit of your “Account number” if asked.
The dispatch status of the latest ATM card or Cheque book is announced and sent through SMS.
How to apply for an SBI cheque book online?
A customer of State Bank of India (SBI) can apply for a cheque book by visiting a bank branch or through Net banking.
Step 1: Visit www.onlinesbi.com and login to your account and click on ‘Request & Enquiries’ tab.
Step 2: From the options available, select ‘Cheque book services’. Then select ‘Cheque Book Request.
Step 3: Choose the account for which you want to request a cheque book. There are additional drop-down menus to fill, such as the multi-city option, the number of cheque books, and the number of cheque leaves. The number of cheque books, and the number of cheque leaves.
Step 4: Once the required details are filled in, click on ‘Submit’.
Step 5: Verify the details of your cheque book request. Select the delivery address at which you wish to receive the cheque book. There are three options: Registered Address, Last Available Dispatch Address and New Address. You can also decide whether you wish to share contact details with the courier agent or not.
Step 6: You will receive a message stating that, your request for new cheque book has been submitted.
Note that banks charge for fresh issue of cheque book or debit card depending on the city and type of account.
