The price of petrol and diesel remained unchanged on Friday. The last country-wide change in fuel prices was on May 21 last year when the Centre cut the excise duty on petrol by ₹8 per litre and by ₹6 per litre on diesel. However, prices will vary across states depending on the local taxes, value-added tax (VAT) and freight charges, etc.
